Fred Faylona is a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines pursuing the American Dream with a passion for community engagement through his volunteer and social organizations.
He grew up in the suburbs of Manila, Philippines but found home in Central Pennsylvania in 2006. He was raised Catholic and attended Ateneo de Manila University, a Jesuit-run institution where he imbibed the concept of men for others committed to the promotion of social justice and rejection of any kind of intolerance, discrimination and hate.
He is committed to help make Dauphin County a great place to live, work and raise families. He currently serves as a Susquehanna Township Commissioner, where he is involved in creating the master plan for the new Wedgewood Hills Neighborhood Park, as well as the soon-to-be completed Bicycle, Pedestrian and Greenway Projects Master Plan, two of the priorities he ran on two years ago. He is also serving on the Township's Budget and Finance Committee. He has a track record for identifying community needs and immediately providing solutions for them.
He is ready from Day One to work for you and ensure that every Dauphin County resident who does business at the Treasurer's Office is served appropriately and efficiently. He understands what it's like to work extremely hard and at the same time take care of aging parents, hold his loved one's hand through cancer treatments, and worry how he will keep his head above water. He is running for the people like him who love Dauphin County and decided to call this place home.
