Fred Faylona 📄 is currently serving his first term in office as the first Asian-American elected to the Board of Commissioners of Susquehanna Township, PA, a first-class municipality in Dauphin County with a population of over 27,500 residents. A lifelong Democrat, he was elected to a 4-year term in 2021 to replace the 16-year Republican incumbent. Since then, he advocated and worked for the adoption of two recreation master plans. He is now focused in helping to update the Township's technology stack and has participated in the selection of the vendors for the current ERP Migration and the new 3-year IT Services Contract.

Bike InfrastructureÂ
Commissioner Fred worked with the Board of Commissioners, Township staff, community leaders, and residents to create a bicycle and pedestrian master plan beginning in 2022. On May 23, 2024, the Susquehanna Township Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Greenways Plan 📄 was officially adopted, which calls for the development and implementation of shared and dedicated bike lanes, and trails that connect to the Capital Area Greenbelt, as well as more and improved sidewalks to promote walkability within the township. On June 27, 2024, the Susquehanna Township Staff was directed to amend the Township Official Map to incorporate the Susquehanna Township Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Greenways Plan to ensure that future land developments will adhere to the plan.

Commissioner Fred worked with the Township's Recreation Advisory Committee (RAC), along with the Board of Commissioners, Township staff, and residents to transform the defunct Wedgewood Hills Swim Club into a usable recreation space. On September 23, 2024, the Wedgewood Hills Park Master Plan đź“„ was adopted, which calls for the development of a neighborhood park that connects to the Capital Area Greenbelt.
